Product Description

CERES sustaining valve is hydraulicallyoperated, diaphragm actuated controlvalve that sustains minimum presetupstream(back) pressure and opensfully when line pressure is in excess ofsetting. lt either opens or shuts inresponse to an electric signal.

 HOW IT WORKS
 The Shuttle Valve [1] connects theSolenoid Valve [2] or the PressureSustaining Pilot Valve [3] to theControl Chamber [4] . When theSolenoid Valve is closed, the PressureSustaining Pilot Valve causes the valveto be slowly closed when the upstream pressure[p1s lower than the setting, and fully opens when[ p1] rises above the setting. The solenoid valve is switched under the control of the electric signaand the pipeline pressure is quided into the control chamber through the shuttle valve, and the pres.sure in the control chamber is increased to cause the valve to close. The solenoid valve also enablesocal manual shut-off of the valve.
